About this course
In this module EIPA’s data experts provide for definitions of what data protection is and what it is not. It explains who the data controllers are and what their role is. Moreover, the module brings practical examples of what is considered personal data and what is anonymized data. Additionally, this module briefly explains what categories of data protection exist under the current GDPR law.

Target group
This is a basic module suitable for all public administration officials at all levels. No prior knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is required.
