EU-LISA

Operational since 1 December 2012, the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA) manages large-scale IT systems that support the implementation of asylum, border management, migration, and justice policies in the EU.

Operating and evolving in an ever-changing internal security landscape, the Agency facilitates the accomplishment of one of EU citizens' fundamental rights – the right to free movement – for more than 400 million people.

As part of eu-LISA’s key activities, the Agency is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating training on the technical use of the large-scale IT systems in the Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) domain for IT experts and other law enforcement officials that manage the IT systems in their respective countries.
