Aim: To give users a broad understanding of the background and operation of the Schengen Agreement from a law enforcement perspective. This focuses mainly on police cross-border interactions, both in terms of information exchange and operations.

Target audience: Police and law enforcement officers, border guards, customs officers and judiciary staff who cooperate with colleagues from other EU Member States or associated countries.

The module was created by CEPOL, with the support of the EU Commission and national SIRENE experts.
