Annual Subscription - All e-Presentations

The e-Presentations offer compact updates on the latest in EU law. The annual subscription gives you access both to our back catalogue of over 500 e-Presentations and to at least 60 new e-presentations every year on the latest developments in EU Law. Each e-presentation lasts on average 35 minutes. Each package features a video of the speaker, their slides, exhaustive background documentation, a quiz and the option to obtain a certificate on completion. The e-presentations can also be downloaded to be viewed offline.

Commission Practice guide on Jurisdiction and applicable law in international consumer contracts

The practice guide intends to give an overview of the relevant legal provisions and case law on matters of (international) jurisdiction and applicable law on disputes related to consumer contracts. The main purpose of this guide is to assist practitioners in their work. It does not purport to be comprehensive and is without prejudice to the authoritative interpretation by the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) of the legal instruments referred to in this guide.

Commission Guidance on the interpretation and application of Council Directive 93/13/EEC on unfair terms in consumer contracts

The purpose of Directive 93/13/ECC (UCTD) is to protect consumers against unfair terms in all types of business-to-consumer contracts and to achieve fairness in the Internal Market. The purpose of this Guidance is to facilitate the effective application of the Directive and to present, in a structured way, the interpretation that the Court of Justice of the European Union has provided on the key concepts and provisions of the UCTD in light of specific cases dealt with by the courts of the Member States.

European Cross-Border Procedures

The training materials were conceived in a way to be used in the context of a 1.5-day seminar. Three case studies per topic were drafted by renowned EU experts. Each case study encompasses the case scenario, the suggested solution and some methodological advice for using the case. The following topics are covered: Brussels Ia Regulation, European Payment Order, European Small Claims Procedure, European Enforcement Order.
