Self-learning Materials

The training materials will enable users to obtain sound knowledge of the scope and interpretation of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, as well as its relationship with other legal instruments protecting fundamental rights in Europe. The audio podcasts are available in English and other materials are available in a number of other languages. Produced with the financial support of the European Union’s Justice Programme for the period 2014-2020.
The Database 2012-2022 on anti-Muslim hatred provides information on significant international, European and national case law and rulings, UN human rights body decisions, reports, findings by human rights and equality bodies and organisations relating to hate crime, hate speech and discrimination against Muslims, as well as relevant research, reports, studies, data and statistics on these issues. It also provides information on victims' support organisations in the EU Member States.
The EJTN's Programmes Working Group designed a basic template for trainees to evaluate the training sessions they attended. The form is rarely used as it stands, as questions are usually added on the specific activity to be evaluated. The template is available in English PDF (19 Kb) en and in French PDF (20 Kb) fr and can be used as a basis for training providers designing evaluation forms for their training event.
This training course departs from the premise that health within prison services is public health. In this training course, a special focus is given to the topics of mental health, elderly prisoners, the health of incarcerated women and also communicable diseases.

Since the European Commission adopted the EU Agenda for the Rights of the Child, which identifies making the justice system more child-friendly as a key action item, the promotion of the rights of the child through the medium of EU legislation has become a reality. These training materials address practical issues concerning child-friendly justice and consist of concise texts suitable for training purposes, PowerPoint presentations as well as case studies (with possible solutions) and further interactive exercises (e.g. role plays) for use during practical workshops.
