Description
Complementing the updated version of the eFirst training for LEA first-responders, this self-paced e-learning package focuses not only on essential IT forensics and IT crime knowledge but also on dedicated legislative and procedural aspects.
It also serves as a cross-border reference for obtaining electronic evidence in judicial proceedings, containing commentary and case law on the latest developments in the EU processes. Once installed, it can also be used as a knowledge base or repository.
- Course aims: build capacity to identify and resolve issues related to digital evidence and cybercrime cases at the judicial level, considering relevant legislation (International, European).
- Topics: basic knowledge on digital forensics and cybercrime phenomena are complemented with guidelines on obtaining e-evidence, and sections on the AI Act, Budapest Convention, Data Retention, Digital Evidence Package, Digital Services Act, EIO, NIS Directive.
The product is possible thanks to the cooperation with Europol, Eurojust and EJCN.
The development platform allows translation into different EU languages upon the request of LEAs or Judicial Authorities, following a semi-automated process that must be reviewed by experts. The package can then be adapted to national legislation and guidelines.
